The story
L'Aspérule, at 43 rue Jean-Jacques-Rousseau in Dijon, serves French cuisine and holds a Michelin star (2026). The restaurant is one of two addresses run by chef Keigo Kimura, the other being in Auxerre.
Kimura spent four years with Marc Veyrat, and his daily gathering of wild herbs and plants inspired the restaurant's name. The cooking is delicate and subtly flavoured. It respects the codes of classic French cuisine while adding a light Japanese accent. Fresh, seasonal produce shapes each composition.
The restaurant offers table service, lunch and dinner, and a wine list the site describes as interesting. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners are catered for. There is outdoor seating, air conditioning, and wheelchair access.
