The story
La Villa Madie sits on Avenue de Revestel in Cassis and holds three Michelin stars in the 2026 guide, which singles out its modern cuisine as exceptional. Marielle and Dimitri Droisneau run the house together.
Marielle Droisneau comes from the Aveyron and started under Michel Bras. She went on to work with Michel Guérard, Marc Veyrat and Martin Berasategui, and met Dimitri at La Réserve de Beaulieu. Dimitri, a Norman, trained with Michel Canet in Alençon, then worked in Paris at Le Bristol, Lucas Carton and La Tour d'Argent. It was Bernard Pacaud who passed on his respect for the product and his rigor. The kitchen earned a second star in 2014 and a third in 2022.
The restaurant looks onto the Mediterranean from a terrace over the Anse de Corton, a reef the people of Cassis know well. The Droisneaus describe the cooking as a passage between land and sea. Marielle shapes the room and the service to suit the kitchen. There is a private room for groups, an interesting wine list and valet parking.
Next door, La Brasserie du Corton offers a more relaxed bistronomy menu built on fresh local produce. It shares the sea view and looks toward Cap Canaille. The menu changes with the seasons.
