The story
Amour Blanc is the second restaurant of Fleur de Loire, on Quai Villebois Mareuil in Blois, where chef Christophe Hay cooks French food rooted in the Loire Valley. The address carries two Michelin stars for 2026 ("excellent cooking"), held by the house's gastronomic restaurant next door.
Hay describes Amour Blanc as the place for sharing and conviviality. The à la carte is generous and built as a showcase for the terroir, with a few childhood memories worked into it. The house also mentions a six-course menu here. It is modern cuisine with a regional accent, and it sits a step away from the more formal table.
The restaurant belongs to a wider project. A pastry kiosk and a grocery (épicerie) share the same idea of generous, local food. Both are part of the chef's wish to open his cooking to a broader audience.
Fleur de Loire occupies a 17th-century building commissioned by Gaston d'Orléans, brother of Louis XIII. It holds 44 rooms, two restaurants, the pastry kiosk and a 450 m² spa. Hay presents the place as an eco-responsible home for his Loire-focused French kitchen.
