The story
DiVino is a contemporary Italian restaurant and wine bar at Kerkstraat 27 in Hapert, recognised with a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking.
Chef Niels van der Heijden runs the Italian kitchen. The choice is à la carte or a surprise menu of four to six courses. Under the name La Tavola DiVino, dishes come in starter-sized portions so the table can fill up and pass plates around. Recent reviewers singled out garlic prawns and a gently cooked duck leg with sweet potato cream and dukkah. A light sgroppino closed the meal.
The team tastes, selects and imports its wines directly from Italian producers. There is no printed list. Guests walk to the wine library, choose a bottle themselves and get advice from trained staff. Many wines are also poured by the glass, each matched to dishes on the menu.
Eric and Iris van Gerwen opened DiVino in 2015 in this old school building. Inside are a large bar and an open kitchen. A terrace at the front catches the sun. Gault&Millau awarded 12.5 points in 2026 and described a great atmosphere with smooth, friendly service.
