The story
The Blind Butcher sits on Playa Juanillo Blvd. in Punta Cana, a fine dining restaurant with a French and Southern American kitchen. Its wine program earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2024.
The restaurant is built around the tale of a chef who traveled South America, from the Amazon to Patagonia, collecting flavors. He lost his sight in an accident in Tierra del Fuego. A shaman later restored his spirit, and his remaining senses sharpened. That story shapes the menu, which draws on South American culinary traditions.
Dinner runs as a four-course tasting with live entertainment. The dress code is casual elegant. The experience carries an additional cost, and reservations are required and open only to guests of the resort.
