The story
Il Ponte is a contemporary restaurant at Kardinala Alojza Stepinca 15a in Trogir, rated 15.5 by Gault&Millau in 2026 and listed as Recommended by the Michelin Guide the same year. Locals book it for romantic dinners, business lunches and celebrations.
A newer bridge leads from the old town centre straight to the courtyard entrance, which is thick with greenery. Drivers will find a parking lot in front. Inside, large glass walls frame an elegant dining room.
The menu draws on fine dining and on Mediterranean cooking built around seasonal ingredients. A few house specialties stay put, among them beetroot ravioli stuffed with ricotta and a white chocolate dessert shaped like a pear. Each season brings something new, Japanese gyoza among past examples. Smoked lamb carpaccio comes with smoked yogurt, blanched kale and peas. The tuna tartare is paired with a sweet passion fruit emulsion and pickled caper leaves. Half portions make it easy to try more plates.
The list leans on Croatian producers, with more than 70 labels, and every wine is poured by the glass.
