The story
Fakin is a modern cuisine restaurant at Trg Svetog Trojstva 53 in Legrad, and it holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026. The kitchen reworks Croatian and Austrian cooking with local produce.
Erich Glavica began his career in Austria, and that influence runs through a menu built on fresh, seasonal ingredients. He cooks with produce from family farms and small local producers. The restaurant opened in 2021. Gault&Millau gave it 15 points in 2026, describing a reinterpretation of continental tradition with a focus on Podravina ingredients.
The Kmetski tajer is a cold plate of regional ham, sausages, bacon and local cheeses. Pumpkin flour noodles come in a sauce of four Podravina cheeses. A pulled beef praline in a crisp hazelnut shell sits on smoked carrot cream. For mains, the Zrinska saber is the house meat specialty, and the Munich steak is coated with sweet mustard and horseradish before baking. Vegetarians can order a carpaccio of marinated celery. Dessert is a hazelnut praline with sparkling wine mousse.
The interior is elegant, and a large terrace adds outdoor seating. The wine list follows the kitchen's lead with regional labels and continental varieties, priced affordably according to Gault&Millau.
