The story
Stiller sits on the second floor of LN Garden Hotel, 368 Huanshi East Road, in Yuexiu, Guangzhou. The European kitchen earned one Michelin star in 2026 for its high quality cooking, and it draws on French and German traditions for a menu that runs from Burgundy snails to lychee wood grilled steaks.
Chef Stefan Stiller created the concept in Shanghai in 2008, where it ran for six years and built a loyal following. The Guangzhou room keeps that approach: a relaxed menu that suits a weeknight dinner as easily as a weekend date. Dishes stay precise without feeling formal, with white asparagus, morels and spinach appearing across the menu.
German-inspired plates form their own part of the menu. Hackepeter pairs beef tartare with marinated beef tongue and remoulade, while Kabeljau in Senf-Sauce brings confit black cod together with grain mustard sauce and white bean mash. Lighter options include hamachi with wasabi spinach, sansho pepper and caviar. The lychee wood grill handles tenderloin and a bone-in rib-eye, and desserts such as Schwarzwälder-Kirsch and Apfel-Strudel finish the German side of the menu.
The Stiller Bar cocktail list was developed with the mixologists at Hope & Sesame, and the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide awarded the restaurant one Diamond in 2026. Premium wines are poured by the glass using a Coravin system, and the cellar includes a 2010 Duval-Leroy 'Stefan Stiller' Blanc de Blancs Champagne.
