The story
CinCin Ristorante + Bar, at 1154 Robson St. in Vancouver, is an Italian restaurant that earned the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2016 and a Gambero Rosso fork in 2025. The kitchen cooks over fire, and the wine list has been a long-standing draw on the Robson Street corridor.
Executive Chef Andrew Richardson works at the Grillworks Infierno, a two-metre stainless steel station with a grill and rotisserie. Fresh market fish and prime cuts are cooked over fruitwood charcoal. Housemade pastas and seasonal salads anchor the menu. His cookbook, CinCin: Wood-Fired Cucina, documents the same techniques.
Wine Director Shane Taylor was named BC Sommelier of the Year by the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers in 2017. He pairs bottles with the Italian kitchen's dishes and often explains the story behind each wine. The dining room looks into the open kitchen, with a heated terrace and a private wine room for group events.
