The story
Caesar's Steak House, a steakhouse at 110, 10816 Macleod Trail S.E. in Calgary, earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2016. The kitchen pairs classic steakhouse cooking with European-style preparations, and the restaurant has served Calgary diners since 1972.
Each cut is aged a minimum of 28 days and charbroiled to order. The Chateaubriand for Two is filet mignon sliced at the table and served with béarnaise. A 550 gram bone-in rib eye is seasoned with the house spice blend and grilled over charcoal.
The wine list also received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2013. Some dishes are finished in front of the guest, including Steak Diane, flambéed with mushroom brandy sauce, and Dover sole meunière, filleted tableside. The bar serves a barrel-aged Manhattan and a house Bloody Caesar.
