The story
Ama.zo Pátio Higienópolis serves Peruvian cooking at Avenida Higienópolis 618 in São Paulo, Brazil. The Michelin Guide recommended the restaurant in 2026, and its kitchen blends Andean ingredients with Amazonian flavors.
Enrique Paredes grew up in Lima, helping his father cook family meals on weekends. He moved to Brazil in 2018 and has led the kitchen here since then. His philosophy, "Cocina Com Libertad," guides his reinterpretations of Peruvian classics, which keep close to his roots while taking technical and creative risks. His mentors include the Peruvian chefs Gastón Acurio and Carlos Testino.
The menu pairs Andean ingredients with local products and explores Amazonian flavors. Criollo traditions, Nikkei fusions and chifa dishes share the table with peppers of intense color and heat. In 2024, Paredes launched Noches Nikkei, a monthly series of joint menus with guest chefs, starting with Wdson Vaz.
