The story
Wilford T is a modern French restaurant at Wilfordkaai 10 in Temse, Belgium, where chef Tom Vermeiren's kitchen was listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026. The dining room sits along the quay, and the French cooking runs alongside an art programme that gives the room its character.
Tom Vermeiren worked earlier at Clandestino and Likoké before opening this gastronomic restaurant in 2016. Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 14.5 out of 20 for 2026 and noted that the kitchen has become more dynamic. The chef and his father run the service together, and the team aims to keep guests smiling from arrival to departure.
The menu has included an open ravioli of Norwegian lobster with vanilla, and a Brabant-style pheasant served with Brussels chicory, celeriac and foie gras. Fish dishes feature turbot with Vin Jaune, Imperial Heritage caviar and girolles, and langoustines from Guilvinec with a Thai spice. Desserts close the menu with dark chocolate, coffee and caramel.
Wilford T pairs its French kitchen with Wilford X, an art collective that organises exhibitions and artistic activities under the motto "Tafelen tussen kunst." The restaurant has a terrace, and the listing notes full access for guests with limited mobility. Private parties and catering are also offered.
