The story
Didier Galet, at rue du Grand Bru 27 in Sprimont, is a restaurant serving country cooking with a modern edge, and Gault&Millau gave it a score of 14 in its 2026 guide. The house sits about fifteen minutes from Liège.
Gault&Millau describes Christiane and Didier Galet's kitchen as one that puts local ingredients and seafood in the spotlight. The cooking is simple and respectful of its produce. The menu moves between countryside dishes and modern cuisine, so a rustic main can sit alongside a langoustine course.
A past Father's Day menu at 78 euros opened with foie gras, summer truffles and artichoke. A land and sea course followed, with confit pork belly, roasted langoustine and peas. The main was a young pigeon fillet with garlic jus and potato paillasson. A 45 euro version kept the foie gras and pigeon and ended with a house petit four. A four-glass wine pairing cost 32 euros.
The restaurant has three dining rooms, and the tables are spaced widely for privacy. The décor is restrained and elegant. In warmer months a large, bright terrace opens, and a private car park is reserved in front of the building. The whole restaurant is accessible to wheelchair users. The rooms suit family and business gatherings, and cooking classes are also on offer.
