The story
Table Vaccin, at Herentalsebaan 26 in Oostmalle, is a modern cuisine restaurant listed as Michelin Recommended for 2026. It reopened in May 2023 as the successor to Haute Cookure, which had been running in the village since 2003.
Chef Ivan Daelemans cooks the menu, and hostess-sommelier Cindy Mertens looks after the wine and the room. The kitchen still serves à la carte dishes, but it has added more sharing plates and shorter, flexible courses. Classics appear in a more contemporary form, which suits both a quick lunch and a longer dinner.
Gault&Millau singled out al dente ravioli with ricotta, served with small crisp pieces of celeriac, and awarded the restaurant 13.5 in 2026. The lunch menu has listed cured salmon with stracciatella and burrata, tomato, basil and red beet, along with vitello tonato. Desserts have included tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream, caramel and sea salt. Diners can choose a six-course experience menu or a sharing menu.
The restaurant offers table service, air conditioning and outdoor seating. It also accommodates private parties and wheelchair access, and parking is available nearby. The gallery on the website shows the plates and the dining room in detail.
