The story
Oltra in Ninove, Belgium, serves modern cuisine at Bovenhoekstraat 10 and earned a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 13 points the same year.
The kitchen starts from classic dishes of the French-Belgian table and branches into other food cultures. Gault&Millau's review singles out a pairing of gamba and river crayfish, served with mango, ginger, shallot, comté and brioche. Each component is easy to name, which makes the shifts between traditions easy to follow on the plate.
Oltra also has a private dining room, which the website presents as its own page beside the menu. For a modern cuisine restaurant of this kind, that gives groups a dedicated setting to plan around.
