The story
L'Echappée Belle serves modern cuisine at Rue de Lanaye 121, 4600 Visé, in Lixhe, Belgium. The Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026 recognises good quality, good value cooking, and the restaurant's seasonal menus reflect that approach.
Camille and Grégory run the restaurant with a clear aim: cooking that combines technique, creativity and respect for the produce. Each menu is rewritten as the seasons change. Meat comes from farmers in the region and from Ferme d'Artagnan, and the trout is sourced from La Commanderie. A small garden on the property grows strawberries, cherries, chillies, walnuts and fresh herbs.
Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 13.5 in 2026 and noted bold but successful pairings that lift local ingredients, such as a smoked Bleue des Prés. The photo gallery shows the kitchen's range: scallop with kiwi and Jerusalem artichoke, Iberico pork with orange and carrot, lamb with bacon and cabbage, and a pear Belle-Hélène for dessert.
Five set menus run from a three-course lunch at €35 to a five-course menu at €60, which lets guests leave the choice to the chef. The dining room opens onto a terrace in summer, and a wood fire keeps the room warm in winter.
