The story
Maison Belge, at Haachtsebaan 150 in Keerbergen, is a modern French restaurant run by chef Catherine and her husband Yves. It was listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026.
The couple cook with fresh produce delivered daily and keep prices fair. Gault&Millau gave the house a score of 12 in 2026, describing a varied menu with something for everyone. Its examples include wagyu gyoza or cheese croquettes with grain mustard as an aperitif, and gratinated mussels or beef tataki with glass noodles to start.
The French-leaning kitchen mixes brasserie classics with lighter plates. Starters on the current card include snow crab with tomato salsa and hollandaise, and tuna tataki with guacamole and radish. For mains, look for eel in green herb sauce, steak au poivre with fries, or linguini with lobster. Desserts include a lemon and meringue plate and a chocolate moelleux with vanilla ice cream.
In summer, tables move out to the terrace among the greenery. The restaurant has a large car park. A separate room is set up for parties and meetings, with multimedia equipment for the latter. The drinks list runs from a Negroni and a Pink Pony Club cocktail to several non-alcoholic mocktails.
