The story
Plein 25 is a French restaurant at Elsegemplein 25 in Elsegem, Belgium, listed as Recommended by the Michelin Guide in 2026.
Neil Dieryckx-Visschers has run the open kitchen since 2024. His wife, Delphine De Weirdt, hosts the dining room, and the two share the vision for the place. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 14 points in 2026, and its account of a meal begins with a gazpacho foam with feta.
The seasonal tasting menu runs five courses at €95 or six at €115. A recent version opened with tuna sashimi, cucumber, daidai and verveine, then moved to tongschar with North Sea crab and broccoli. Coquille Dieppe came with leek and bergamot, and veal with green asparagus and black garlic. Dessert paired rhubarb with white chocolate and Gariguette strawberry. Wine pairings start at €50, and parties of four or more all take the menu together. The kitchen cannot cater to vegans.
Warm tones and the open kitchen set the mood indoors, and the chef is within sight of the tables. The rooms are small, and the house describes the feel as luxurious but homely. On summer days the courtyard gives cool shade at midday and soft sun in the evening. A private room is available for groups.
