The story
Gaston Vouzote is a classic cuisine brasserie in Dottignies, Belgium, at boulevard des Canadiens 27 near the main road routes. The Michelin Bib Gourmand (2026) recognises its good-quality, good-value cooking.
Dishes are made in house or sourced from local artisans. Guests often order the snails in garlic butter and the homemade seasonal terrines. The menu covers meat, fish and shellfish, so there is plenty of choice at lunch or dinner.
The dining room is cosy and retro, in the style of a Parisian brasserie. The wine list runs to about a hundred references, with a strong showing of Bordeaux, Côtes du Rhône and Burgundy at a range of prices. Beer drinkers will find a selection of special and regional beers.
