The story
L'Esprit Village is a French restaurant at Place Orbert de Thieusies 10, 7830 Thoricourt, listed under Cambron-Saint-Vincent. Gault&Millau gave it 13.5 points in 2026.
Christine and Pascal run the place and describe their cooking as frank, sincere and without artifice. It follows the seasons and the market, with a preference for local producers. Gault&Millau praises a careful welcome and a meticulous, creative style built on the best seasonal produce. Michelin also lists the restaurant as recommended for 2026.
The inspectors single out a beef tartare with oyster emulsion and sunfish. A recent summer menu read differently: spiced tuna ham with garden tomato rougaille, then cod with Paimpol beans, chorizo and saffron foam. Next came farm chicken with chanterelles and summer truffle, and a vine peach melba to finish. Belgian raw-milk cheeses can replace dessert or follow it.
Eddy Dandrimont, sommelier and friend of the house, selects the wines. Lunch runs as a set menu of four courses, with an option that adds two glasses of wine, water and coffee. Evenings offer four or five services. Guests can also eat outside, and takeaway is available.
