The story
Biestro H-eat sits at Hingenesteenweg 48 in Bornem, where the modern cuisine kitchen earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking.
Glenn De Cock cooks from an open kitchen just outside the center of Bornem, and his plates are built around local and seasonal produce. Gault&Millau gives the restaurant 12.5 for 2026, pointing to contemporary dishes such as glazed wild duck with honey and figs, served with butternut squash. The room is described as cozy and comfortable.
The four-course menu at 75 euros opens with a terrine of smoked eel and goose liver. Ravioli filled with lobster tail comes in a bisque, and lamb arrives three ways. The cheese course features Belgian cheeses from Antwerp affineurs Van Tricht.
