The story
Cul de Poule, at Avenue Wanderpepen 44 in Binche, is a modern French restaurant that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking. Chef Arnaud Molle runs the kitchen in a dining room he has fully redecorated.
Arnaud Molle writes a new menu every week, shaped by the seasons and, where possible, by local suppliers. The Gault&Millau 2026 entry gives the restaurant 12.5 and describes it as discreet yet charming, with a creative, carefully judged seasonal kitchen.
The set menu was listed at 49 euros per person, or 70 euros with the wine selection. Courses have included duck breast tataki with soy, raspberry and beetroot, and coley with mussels, fennel and carrot. Confit lamb shoulder with aubergine, fresh goat's cheese and harissa also appeared, followed by a pavlova with melon and passion fruit.
The dining room feels calm and warm. In fine weather, the terrace looks out over a small garden that makes it easy to forget you are in town.
