The story
Fiera serves metropolitan cuisine at Lange Nieuwstraat 14 in Antwerpen, Belgium, and Gault&Millau gave it 12 points in its 2026 guide. The restaurant takes its name from the Italian word for "fair," a nod to the trading halls where it sits.
Chef Chesney Verschueren builds the menu from carefully selected ingredients and flavours drawn from cities around the world. The lunch menu changes daily with the seasons. Each course offers a choice of meat or fish, except dessert. Gault&Millau notes that the dishes show real craftsmanship, and singles out a beef tartare for its presentation.
Fiera occupies the Schippersbeurs, a side aisle of the Handelsbeurs. The Schippersbeurs was built in the 19th century as an arrival point for boatsmen, and their goods were traded next door. The Handelsbeurs, designed in 1531, served as Antwerp's stock exchange for centuries before a thorough renovation brought it back to full glory. The room pairs that history with a cosmopolitan decor and atmospheric music. The Smart Green Guide also awarded Fiera one Radish in 2026.
