The story
Griggeler Stuba is a fine dining restaurant at Oberlech 568 in Lech, Austria, and Gault&Millau awarded its kitchen 18.5 points in 2026. The gourmet room sits on the sunny Oberlech plateau above Lech am Arlberg, inside the Burg Vital Resort.
Guests see the raw ingredients presented at the kitchen bar before choosing their starters. Chef Sebastian Jakob leads the team. The cooking is precise, and the guide describes the kitchen as working at the highest level.
Recent coverage names Juhu beef essence, Tristan lobster, duck liver and Balfegó bluefin tuna among the dishes. Arlberg quail with truffle and beef with currants are also on the menu. Cheese comes from affineur Bernard Antony, and the patisserie finishes the meal. Gault&Millau counts the wine cellar among the best restaurant cellars in the Alpine region, and Wine Spectator gave the property its Grand Award in 2019.
