The story
Guildhall Tavern in Poole serves British seafood and grill dishes at 15 Market Street, BH15 1NB, and was listed as Michelin Recommended in 2026 alongside two AA Rosettes.
The kitchen works with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and aims for an elegant but relaxed setting. Friday Steak Night offers 25% off aged steaks from 5pm to 9pm, including an 8oz sirloin at £28.50 and an 8oz ribeye at £30, both served with pomme frites, roasted cherry tomatoes, watercress and a battered pickled onion ring.
Sam's Supper Club runs monthly in traditional banquet style. Executive head chef Sam Coltman writes the menu, and a wine supplier often pairs a flight to match each course.
The restaurant sits in old town Poole, about 50 metres from the Guildhall, which was completed in 1761. The interior mixes old and new while keeping the listed building's original character.
The nautically themed Yacht Lounge opens Thursday to Saturday from 3pm. It serves bespoke cocktails, fine wines, charcuterie, cheese platters and Poole oysters.
