The story
The Hand and Flowers, at 126 West Street in Marlow, is a modern British kitchen that earned two Michelin stars in 2026. It is a gastropub at heart, with pub classics cooked to a fine-dining standard.
The menu takes familiar pub dishes and sharpens them, with rich, powerful flavours and careful presentation. A four-course house menu costs £195 per person and runs Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, plus Sunday lunch. A shorter set menu at lunchtime and for early dinner offers two courses for £39.50 or three for £45. The AA awarded the kitchen four Rosettes in 2026.
The private dining room, The Shed, has served 30 day dry aged fillet of beef with Café de Paris butter and house chips. Other courses have included duck liver parfait with orange chutney and brioche, and a chocolate and cherry pit cake with espresso butterscotch. Dishes change with the season, so the menu on the night may differ.
The fifteen bedrooms sit a short distance from the pub and include hot tubs, large baths and rain showers. Every room comes with a full cooked breakfast served in the pub. Several stay packages pair a night's sleep with a dinner at the Hand and Flowers or at The Coach, the group's sister pub, which also holds a Michelin star.
