The story
The Wild Rabbit is a modern British restaurant in Chipping Norton, at Church Street, Kingham, OX7 6YA, and it holds three AA Rosettes for 2026. The eighteenth-century inn sits in the Cotswolds and serves a seasonal menu built around produce from the Daylesford estate.
Executive chef Callum Graham joined from Bohemia in Jersey, a Michelin-starred restaurant, after cooking in London, Paris and Geneva. He describes the menu as a story told on the plate, drawing on the market garden, artisan producers and heritage-breed livestock at Daylesford farm. The restaurant is listed as Michelin Recommended for 2026.
Graham names the custard tart as his favourite on the new menu. The pastry is thin and buttery, the custard is soft and rich with a wobble, and it comes with a fresh seasonal sorbet. He says a dish this plain leaves nowhere to hide, which is the point.
The cellar holds more than 300 varieties, and the list is reviewed every week. It carries the AA's Notable Wine Award, and most bottles come from growers who respect nature. At the bar, guests can order local craft beer or a seasonal cocktail, sit by the fire, or take a glass out to the terrace when the weather is warm.
