The story
The Noisy Lobster in Bournemouth serves seafood and bakery dishes at Avon Beach, Mudeford, Christchurch, Dorset (BH23 4AN). The AA awarded it one Rosette for culinary excellence in 2026, and it is a family-run restaurant on the shoreline.
The kitchen builds its menus around fresh, locally sourced produce and sustainable seafood, much of it landed by fishermen in Mudeford and Lymington. A Good Food Guide reader singled out a seared tuna crudo with mango piccalilli, whipped avocado, chilli and popped quinoa. Each Haddock and Chips ordered from the à la carte menu includes a 50p donation to Surfers Against Sewage.
The restaurant spans two floors, with a ground-floor dining room and a rooftop terrace. Diners look across Mudeford Bay, the channel and the Isle of Wight Needles. One Good Food Guide reader noted that the room was refreshed after a makeover and now feels bright and casual.
