The story
La Rameaudière is a classic cuisine restaurant in Mondorf-les-Bains, Luxembourg, located at 10 rue de la Gare in Ellange. The Gault&Millau guide gave it 13 points in its 2026 edition, and the kitchen works in a traditional register that rewards diners who like home cooking done carefully.
Daniel Rameau is both chef and owner, and he builds the menu around produce from the region. His note on the restaurant's website says the cooking starts with what the season brings. He admits to eating the first asparagus of the year with real enthusiasm before moving on, and in spring the kitchen turns to red mullet. The Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026.
The menus change often, so the lineup shifts from week to week. Recent versions have included roasted wild turbot with mashed potatoes, Pyrenean lamb noisettes with celeriac mousseline, and a sorbet made from Quetsch plums from Ellange. The tasting menu adds European lobster fricassee with morel mushrooms and Vosges pigeon. Guide reviewers have also noted homemade goose foie gras and duck breast with raspberry vinegar. Desserts range from a chef's dessert tasting to a crème brûlée flavored with Bourbon vanilla.
Service is discreet and attentive, with staff who move through the dining room with little fuss. In good weather, the pretty garden terrace is the place to sit.
