The story
Bringezu Restaurant & Events, listed as an Italian restaurant in Wentorf bei Hamburg, sits behind the historic walls of Schlossstr. 5, 21465 Reinbek. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 1,5 Kochlöffel in 2026, and the castle setting is part of why guests come back.
Heiko Bringezu trained as a cook, and Monika Bringezu trained as a restaurant specialist. The couple has run the castle restaurant since 2017. The kitchen changes its menu monthly under the name Taste the Season, mixing light and classic plates. Eggs, strawberries and asparagus come from Hornbrooker Hof, and milk from Milchhof Reitbrook.
The Schlemmer Atlas singled out prawn curry and roast beef from the menu. Goose appears on the seasonal card, sourced from Dithmarscher farms where birds spend most of their time outdoors. Chanterelle dishes begin in July, and asparagus follows once the weather allows after Easter.
The vaulted cellar seats 45 for evening meals. By day, the bright gallery café seats around 50, and the terrace overlooks the Mühlenteich when the weather is fair. The tower room has a round table and seats up to 15 for private occasions. The courtyard hall and grounds host celebrations for 10 to 150 guests.
