The story

Schlossrestaurant 1745, Travemünde: Brunch and Baltic Brasserie Cooking

Schlossrestaurant 1745 in Travemünde occupies a manor house at Am Park 1, 23942 Kalkhorst, built in 1745 and about 500 meters from the Baltic Sea. The Schlemmer Atlas gave it 2.5 Kochlöffel for 2026. Brunch and a generous breakfast buffet open the day here.

The kitchen

In June 2026, Hendrik Otto, formerly of Restaurant Adlon, took over the strategic direction of the kitchen. The Schlemmer Atlas also awarded the brasserie 1 Kochlöffel for 2026 and describes its food as hearty and traditional, from fried fish to wild game goulash. The kitchen's own words are rustic, honest Mecklenburg specialties.

Breakfast, terrace and events

The Schwansee breakfast buffet is regional, with fresh fruit and savory classics. In fine weather the sun terrace serves coffee and cake with a view over the estate grounds. Homemade lemonades are on the drinks list, and a gourmet evening with star chef Ronny Sievert is planned for 13 November 2026.
