The story
Hupperts, at Gebelsbergstraße 97 in Stuttgart, serves a seasonal French kitchen that earned one Michelin star in 2026. The restaurant runs a single menu of five or six courses, built around fresh regional produce.
Michael Huppert does the cooking and often carries the plates to the table himself. He calls his approach "pure taste", and the dishes are careful, precise and beautifully arranged. Mediterranean notes appear here and there, such as veal with tomato, burrata and basil.
The menu changes with the market, so the printed examples are only a guide. Recent listings included duck liver with apple, celery and brioche, and Skrei with pointed cabbage, lentil and horseradish. Other courses have featured salmon with fennel, passion fruit and snow peas, and corn-fed poularde with chanterelles and broccoli. The five-course menu is listed at 144 € and the six-course menu at 154 €.
The dining room is simple and well kept, with the feel of an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant. Marianne Huppert looks after the guests and keeps the hospitality warm and easy. The wine list is described as solid and professionally curated, and the room has air conditioning and outdoor seating.
