The story
Landhotel Bergischer Hof, at Pilgerstr. 62-64 in Overath, cooks German food with a Mediterranean streak. The Schlemmer Atlas gave it 1,5 Kochlöffel in 2026.
The house calls its style Bergische hospitality with Mediterranean accents. A seasonal banner on the website lists fresh chanterelles, salmon fillet, pasta with king prawns and lamb. On weekend and holiday afternoons, the kitchen turns to Bergische waffles and apple strudel.
Meals are served on a Mediterranean terrace in the inner courtyard, and there are beer gardens too. The restaurant and terrace are reachable without steps. An air-conditioned hall hosts weddings and family celebrations. Family Bäcker also lets nine rooms (six doubles, three singles) for overnight stays.
