The story
Lech-Line is a modern French restaurant at Bahnhofsplatz 1 in Landsberg am Lech, and it holds one Michelin star for 2026. The restaurant opened in 2022 in the old train station building and combines a wine bar, a bistro and fine-dining cooking under one roof.
Chef Christian Sauer works with exotic spices and with produce from his own garden. Fruit runs through the menu. Tuna comes with pineapple and green Sichuan pepper, and turbot is served with a shellfish beurre blanc, green almonds and peaches. Evening service runs Wednesday to Saturday, with multi-course menus on Fridays and Saturdays and a bistro à la carte the rest of the week.
The dining room has leather armchairs, exposed brick and iron beams, and the bar runs along the long wall. Owner Vincent Staudacher leads the house. The wine list is small and changes often, with surprises such as a Château Bélá Riesling by Egon Müller from Slovakia. The space also hosts private dining, cooking classes and events.
