The story
Restaurant musics, at Kotterner Str. 62 in Kempten (Allgäu), is a World Cuisine kitchen that earned 1.5 Kochlöffel in the Schlemmer Atlas 2026. The restaurant sits inside the bigBOX ALLGÄU complex, so the same room works for a weekday lunch, a Sunday brunch or a larger family celebration.
The kitchen builds its dishes on fresh, seasonal ingredients from the Allgäu. Head chef Peter Sommer combines them with international ideas. The menu runs from steaks and fish to vegetarian and vegan plates, so mixed groups can usually find something they want. Guests on recent visits praised a butter-soft steak, fresh salad and well-judged sauces.
The weekday Mittagstisch changes every week and follows what is in season. Brunch is served on Sundays and holidays, with an Adventsbrunch in late autumn and December. Guests who attended the Advent brunch described generous portions and a carefully decorated table, and they said the team will talk through changes to a dish if you ask.
