The story
Intuu is a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant at Berliner Straße 30 in Göttingen, inside the FREIgeist Göttingen Innenstadt hotel. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it two Kochlöffel in 2026, and the Japanese-South American menu draws on classic Nikkei cooking.
Stefan Wiede leads the kitchen team, which cooks Japanese dishes with South American accents. Meat, fish, seafood and vegetables come off a Josper charcoal grill, where wood-charcoal heat gives them smoky, juicy edges. There are no classic courses here. Plates arrive family style as they are ready.
Diners can pick maki, nigiri or sashimi, or hand the choice to the kitchen with omakase. Shoyu poke is one of the Japanese-South American dishes on the menu. The Schlemmer Atlas singles out the Chef's Table at the bar, where guests sit facing the kitchen. Regular sushi classes are also held here.
Vegan and vegetarian dishes follow the same approach, with high-quality produce and clear flavours. Michelin lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. The HERBARIUM Bar mixes cocktails, and guests who skip alcohol can order 0.0% pairings with their dinner.
