The story
Alla Beccaccia is a classic Istrian restaurant at ul. Pineta 25 in Valbandon, a residential area near Pula in Croatia. It holds a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand for good-quality, good-value cooking. The kitchen is built around game and meat, with traditional Istrian dishes alongside.
Meat dominates the menu, from wild boar spare ribs and rabbit roulade to slow-cooked Istrian ox neck. Boškarin, the native Istrian cattle breed, appears in several dishes, including liver with purple cabbage and tangerine. Istrian fuži come with a thick Boškarin ragout, and pasta with white truffles is on the menu too.
Annamaria Kolić is the head cook and co-owner, and Ivor Kolić runs the wine list as sommelier and co-owner. The house wine is a Franc Arman cuvée of merlot, teran and cabernet sauvignon. Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 13.5 in 2026. Homemade gluten-free bread is available alongside the regular loaf.
The dining room sits in a separate house beside the lawn, with olive trees nearby. Inside, an open fireplace and rustic décor give it the feel of a hunting lodge. Guests can also stay at the B&B in the same courtyard and book a dinner package there.
